Finding us.....

As we are based behind the green railings of George Eliot School and the car park, we can be a little hard to find from the road.

From Donnithorne Avenue between the two schools, you will see the woods.  To access our car park and building, please use the entrance in the railings opposite the woods.

The map should help.

About Us

Here at Wembrook Community Centre we like to welcome all members of the community.

We offer a warm and friendly environment and work in partnership with local organisations to bring you services and activities in the heart of the community.

Easily accessible by car, foot from the Wembrook Trail and by bus which picks up and drops off right outside on Donnithorne Avenue.

Wembrook Community Centre was set up in 2012 as a not for profit Charity Ltd by Guarantee.  The centre is run entirely by volunteers.

Income is generated through room hire and grants.  We work hard with our partners to offer a sustainable venue, run by local residents.

Our partnerships are continually growing to represent what the community tell us they want.  Residents want services and activities on their doorsteps, so we work with our partners to offer this.

That could be community cafes, youth clubs, nature walks, arts groups, benefit and housing advice and financial support, affordable food collection points, carers groups, health, exercise classes, leisure activities.

We are continually reviewing and talking to our residents to make sure we are meeting their needs.  Our volunteer management board are representative of our diverse community.
